Akron Central High School Band presented a "Movie Magic" Cabaret concert to a delighted audience

Akron Central School's Scholastic Bowl team successfuly defended their undefeated season in the finals of the GCC Television League on Wednesday night.

They amassed 450 points, to Pembroke's 320 and Leroy's 200, to earn the Championship

Akron Middle School Band sweept the competition at the Springville Pageant of Bands today, Saturday, May 17, 2003, coming home with seven trophies.

Those attending the 2003 Homecoming Festivities at Akron Central School responded overwhelmingly to a food drive to help the Akron/Newstead Food Pantry. Over 839 people were admitted to the game by bringing one or more canned goods, 278 students purchased tickets and 254 adults purchased tickets.
